Item Description
Many people think the best and only sharp cobaltites come from Sweden but...actually, a few small discoveries were made in Canada decades ago, and good specimens are now scarce. This sharp thumbnail specimen has crystals to 8mm on edge, in a cluster that dominates the top of the specimen. It is a dramatic and unusual example of the size, from the competition thumbnail collection of Bill and Sharon Panczner. They specialized in aesthetics at a time many only bought representative thumbnails, and had a superb competitive thumbnail collection back in the 70s before it was as fashionable as it is today! We bought the collection recently.
