Mineral specimens from this obscure Skardu District locality are rare and almandine garnets are extremely rare! This is a superb, perfect, highly lustrous, textbook, reddish-brown dodecahedron. The crystal GLOWS with cherry-red gemminess, when backlit. Ex Ralph Clark Collection. "Perfect specimens are very rare, although prices even for flawed ones have always been high (for garnets)."
