One of the finest Schorl specimens of this particular habit that I have seen from the Erongo Mts. Every single crystal (they range up to about 2.5 cm) on the front of this cluster has superb luster and incredibly sharp form. It is complete all around with only partial contacting (though still lustrous) on the back. Each of the Schorls has the famous trigonal (Mercedes) termination. A killer in its own right! Charlie Key kept a large suite of Schorls, maintaining these to be an underappreciated find in their day. This piece exemplifies why he felt that way. Now, such quality is harder to come by.
