One of the most exceptional things I have seen from the United States is Sunstone from Oregon. This material comes in a myriad of colors ranging from yellow, orange, red, green and even blue in rare cases. Aside from the the extremely rare blue variety, the most hard to find color of this material in good size stones is red. This stone has a warm peach-orange hue and really sparkles in the light. It is a superb quality, hard to find, "Trillion" cut gem. Typically, many of the stones from this area have what is called a "shiller" which is a shimmer in the stone caused by Copper inclusions, and is highly sought after by collectors. This stone has a brilliant array of shiller and is really attractive in person. This gem was cutt by Brett Kosnar in October of 2010.
