Item Description
One of the most exceptional things I have seen from the United States is Sunstone from Oregon. This material comes in a myriad of colors ranging from yellow, orange, red, green and even blue in rare cases. Aside from the the extremely rare blue variety, the most hard to find color of this material is red, but to find bicolor gems of this material is exceptionally rare. This stone is a good quality, rare, very slightly included, "Cabochon Crown Round" cut gem. The stone has a peach and greenish bicolor appearance. It is not very common to find Oregon Sunstone with any decent color, as over 90% of this material displays a light yellow or "champagne" hue, so to find any hint of color is a big deal. Typically, many of the stones from this area have what is called a "shiller" which is a shimmer in the stone, but this stone does not, which is uncommon. These gems are becoming very difficult to find anymore in any size or quantity, so don't miss out on this one.
