Item Description
One of the most exceptional things I have seen from the United States is Sunstone from Oregon. This material comes in a myriad of colors ranging from yellow, orange, red, green and even blue in rare cases. Aside from the the extremely rare blue variety, the most hard to find color of this material in good size stones is red. This stone has a beautiful "champagne" color with a "Checkerboard Trillion" cut. Typically, many of the stones from this area have what is called a "shiller" which is a shimmer in the stone, which is caused by micro inclusions of of Copper in the gem, but this stone is fairly clean, especially for the size. Don't miss ouf on this great U.S. gemstone.
