Item Description
Feldspar is a widespread mineral group, found all over the world, but the vast majority of this material is opaque. Gem quality Feldspar is rather rare in nature, especially when you consider the countless tons that have been found over the centuries. The Sunstones from Oregon are some of the best quality transparent Feldspar gems from any world locality, both in quantity and quality. This stone is from near Plush, Oregon and features a "Peakpoint Round Brilliant" cut with a very pale straw color, and near eye-clean clarity. These stones are sometimes referred to as "champagne" Sunstones. Classic material to be sure.
