A beautiful, gemmy and lustrous sulfur crystal with with rich color and textbook orthorhombic form from this famous mine, first worked by the Romans. Complete all-around, nearly pristine, with very slight rubbing to a termination face and edge. A classic and fine Italian mainland sulfur crystal thumbnail. Ex Will Henderson Collection, a well-known, longtime mineral author and collector. He was formerly a columnist for the Mineralogical Record.
