Sulfur is a VERY RARE species, not listed by MINDAT, from this extinct old potash mine, opened in 1895 and closed in 2018. Lustrous, translucent, light lemon-yellow platy sulfur crystals colorfully and richly cover part of the 3-dimensional nodule of lustrous, translucent, massive gray halite. A RARE and showy combination from the locale. Ex Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection.
