Item Description

A sculptural, large, 3-dimensional sulfur specimen from the famous mines at Agrigento. Sharp, lustrous, translucent, golden-yellow crystals, to 3.6 cm, are aesthetically studded on the nubby/vuggy stalactitic pastel-pink calcite matrix. Some bruising to the sulfurs is noted, but is certainly only a modest detraction to this dramatic, 3-sided, free-form specimen from the Bob Trimingham Collection. It displays well without aid. Pink fluorescence.
