Item Description

Bright lemon-yellow, translucent, blocky, sulfur crystals to 3.8 cm are aesthetically scattered on the mounded matrix covered witth nubby, knobby, cream-colored aragonite. The one broken crystal and periphery wear are out of sight in the preferred display view. The isolation of the crystals and aesthetics of the crystal placement are very noteworthy. Very fine sulfur from obscure mines. Refer to the extensive and excellent article on Sicilian sulfur in the March-April, 2012 issue of the Mineralogical Record. Come with a 1950-60s-era label from California. Pink fluorescence on the aragonite.
