Item Description

A dramatically sculptural small cabinet sulfur specimen from this historic Agrigento sulfur mine. The piece is highlighted by the two striking doubly terminated sulfur crystals, luster, translucence and rich bitumen inclusions. The blocky complex doubly terminated crystal is 3.2 cm and the scalenohedron-looking crystal is 3.3 cm long. The bit of noted contacting and bruising has minimal impact to the overall very fine quality of this excellent old-timer from the Ted Bartels Collection. The piece has several outstanding display views. Classic Cozzo Disi Mine sulfur with bitumen.
