Sulfur (ex Allen Heyl Collection)

Here we have a classic Sulfur specimen, from Italy. These fairly well-formed, bright lemon yellow color crystals show relatively sharp faces with good gemminess/translucendy. The underlying white matrix makes for a nice color contract. From the display side, this piece shows very little damage. The best of these specimens are undoubtedly the finest Sulfurs in the world. From the collection of noted Colorado geologist, Allen Heyl (Aheylite). Allen's collection number 3390 is written on the underside of the specimen.
