Item Description

A wonderful example of the famous, classic electric yellow colored Sulfur crystals from Agrigento (Girgenti), Sicily, Italy. This small cabinet piece hosts several very sharp, gemmy / translucent, TEXTBOOK crystal faces with good luster and that glowing color sitting on classic white Aragonite matrix. There are a few contacts, but the majority of the crystals are damage free and very attractive up close. The largest Sulfur measures 5 mm long. Please note: The species should now be spelled S-U-L-F-U-R as both the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry along with the British Royal Society of Chemistry adopted this spelling in the 1990s (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sulfur#Spelling_and_etymology)
