Item Description
Equant, classic lemon-yellow, lustrous and translucent sulfur crystals richly and aesthetically cover this sculptural and aesthetic two-sided small cabinet plate from one of the most famous sulfur mines in Agrigento Province, the Cozzo Dizzi Mine. The large crystal on the top left is 2.7 cm across. There are more crystals on the back on drusy calcite and bitumen, as a bonus. The bit of noted bruising on the upper right is certainly only a modest detraction to this showy specimen. The crystals on the edges have a beautiful warm yellow glow, when backlit!
