Item Description

Outside of the famous crystals from Sicily, some of the most iconic examples of Sulfur are those from the western Bolivian desert. The pieces are best known for their wonderful size, color and beautiful crystal forms, which are often skeletal or "hoppered". This attractive crystal has great form with very sharp and lustrous faces, along with that top "canary" yellow color. You can see that every side features distinct negative crystal faces that, i.e., hollow growth due to the fact that these crystals grow so rapidly that they cannot "fill in" all the way while they're growing. These pieces are beloved by collectors for their size and wonderful morphology.
