Item Description
This impressive and sculptural large two-sided triangular crust is festooned with several generations of bright canary-yellow sulfur crystals from this well-known and remote Bolivia locale. The primary side is dominated by scattered, striking, gemmy prisms, to 1.7 cm, with classic hoppered/skeletal features. Earlier generations of smaller gemmy to translucent sulfur crystals totally cover both sides of the very colorful and rich plate. See the 2003 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 34, No. 4. Choice large two-sided material valued at $800.
