Item Description

This specimen is exceptional for its color combination and richness, but also happens to be a real rarity for what it is. Gorgeous magenta sugilite microcrystals are starkly contrasted by the snow-white pectolite micro needles on five of the six sides of the striking boxwork matrix. This a remarkable and extremely rich combination piece. Pectolite is rare in the Wessels and in the Kalahari in general. I am aware of only one pocket of the association in this quality and form, and this is a super piece from the find (late 1980s, or early 1990s I believe). Ex Charlie Key. Value???
