Item Description

This is an unusual Sturmanite, especially with the rarely seen Brucite association. The fact that the habit of the Sturmanite is a tabular hexagonal "blade" and not the typical thin prism that we're used to seeing is not only unusual, but captivating. The Sturmanite measures 1.5 cm across and hasa lovely orange color (I mistook it for a Wulfenite for a brief moment when I first saw it) with slight inner translucency. The Brucite has the typical botryoidal form for the area, and ranges in color from a silvery-blue to a nearly chalk white hue. The piece comes with a label from Crystal Celler (Sussman) and is certainly rare for the crystal habit and association.
