Item Description

Well-crystallized quartz specimens are VERY RARE from the famous mines of the Kalahari manganese fields and this a striking and even rarer combination specimen. Beautiful, gemmy and lustrous, sulfur-yellow sturmanite crystals to 1.0 cm are richly and attractively scattered on the pastel-pink rhodochrosite, that coats an undulating forest of sharp, tiny quartz points. The matrix is hefty, massive manganite. The quartz is revealed beneath the rhodochrosite on the few broken crytals. Undoubtably older and extremely rare combination material from these renowned mines. Value of such a rarity???
