Item Description
Hexagonal 'poker chips' of Sturmanite are found in several of the Kalahari mines, and when they are gemmy the Sturmanites can certainly be one of the most eye-catching of species from the Manganese fields. In fact, their habit is quite reminiscent of the Hydroxylapatites from the Sapo mine in Brazil. The Sturmanites' small size, up to about 2 mm across, adds to the odds that they will have greater perfection, and the pics support this. A very representative, quality specimen from the great Kalahari manganese fields.
