Item Description

Strontiodresserite is an extremely rare hydrated strontium aluminum carbonate species, only found at FIVE localities on earth as of the time of this posting. Some of the best known specimens are those from the Dielengraben locality in southern Austria. This piece is a rich and impressive specimen filled with attractive white "sprays" composed of thin prismatic crystals of Strontiodresserite scattered all over the underlying matrix. The piece is best seen under magnification, and really looks great up close. These specimens are virtually impossible to find on the market, and if you're a rare species collector, this is a great chance to pick up a good sized display piece of a mineral that is not often seen in display quality examples. From the collection of Colin Manlove.
