Item Description

Radial sprays of white strontianite needles, to 1.8 cm, aesthetically accent this striking heavily etched two-sided color-zoned fluorite cube from the famous Minerva Mine. A beautiful gem, 3 mm, sky-blue edge phantom dramatically accents the translucent amber interior. Dense stepped-growth on the unetched portions of the lustrous cube adds even more pizzazz. The amber fluorite GLOWS, when backlit. The strontianite fluoresces white and there is yellow fluorescent hydrocarbons in the amber interior, as a bonus. Older material from the 1980s, 1982 until at least to 1986, when the Inverness Mining Company operated the mine (MINDAT). A showy, classic and unusually etched Minerva Mine fluorite combination.
