Item Description

A striking spray of glassy, tan, strontianite needles from the famous Minerva No. 1 Mine. Crystals are rarer than the massive forms. Typical specimens have spiky, minute crystals in radiating aggregates or tufts, but these crystals are large for the locale, up to 4.0 cm. A few broken crystals and a bit of periphery wear are noted, but in the overall context of the species and locale, this is an excellent, older specimen. It displays well from both sides. Ex Larry Krause Collection. valued $200
