Item Description
Bone-white puffballs of tiny glassy strontianite spikes are richly and aesthetically scattered on the impressive and sculptural large elongated sawed limestone matrix covered with intensely sparkly gray drusy calcite. This Pennsylvania limestone quarry is well-known for excellent strontianite, calcite and wavellite specimens and this is an outstanding and rich large example of the species. Typical white fluorescence. Collected by Skip Colflesh in 2007. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020.
