Item Description

One of the great Austrian classics are the beautiful and fine quality Strontianites from Oberdorf an der Laming in Steiermark. This specimen features sharp, well-formed, gemmy to translucent soft golden color pseudorhombic crystals of Strontianite on matrix. The main "group" measures 2.1 cm at its longest dimension. Great quality, virtually undamaged. The piece comes from an old East Coast collection with a label from recently deceased legendary dealer, Larry Conklin of New York City.
