Stromeyerite and Calcite (fl)

Item Description

Outstanding crystalline cavity of Stromeyerite, a very rich ore composed of Ag, Cu, and S. The outer surface of the pocket shows just how shiny the metallic luster is, and the inner surface of the pocket is richly detailed, as if you were looking at one of thiose classic photos of the structure of bone. The color varies from silver-black to gray tinted with blue or lavendar. Nestled in the middle of the pocket are several clusters of microcrystalline Calcite, which fluoreseces reddish-orange. This is a choice specimen from the classic locality of Pribram. heavy, as well.
