Stolzite with Raspite (ex Matioli and Halhead Collections)

Item Description

A lovely association micro specimen of the famous Stolzites from Broken Hill. This piece features small golden-yellow, tabular, tetragonal crystals which are best viewed under a microscope or with a loupe. The label from Matioli states that Raspite is present, and I did see a couple of TINY reddish-orange Raspites on there, so this is confirmed. Additonally, the given locality on Matioli's label states that it's from the Consols Mine, but this I can't say for certain is true. Matioli obtained the piece from Basil R. Halhed of Dunrobin, Ontario, Canada whose label states that the piece was collected prior to 1978. If you're a Broken Hill fanatic or enjoy micro material, don't miss out on this one.
