Stolzite on Quartz (classic material) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A classic old time specimen (from the 1800s) featuring small, compressed, grey colored tabular crystals of somewhat vitreous Stolzite sitting on iron-stained / included Quartz crystals on matrix. This material is virtually impossible to find on the market, and is some of the most iconic Stolzite from Germany along with the specimens from the Clara Mine in the Black Forest. Eye-catching material of this beloved dimorph of Raspite and part of the Stolzite-Wulfenite series. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#2717). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
