Item Description
Stolzite, lead molybdate, is a signature desirable species from renowned Broken Hill and has produced some of the very finest examples known. The is an outstanding, very rich specimen from the Proprietary Mine (i am told these came out mostly in the early 1900s). Scintillating, gem, golden-yellow, tabular crystals with tapered edges, to 3 mm, are festooned on two sides of the manganese oxide matrix. Specimens of this quality and richness are RARE and are very highly desirable! Valued at $2000 at least...and worth it. You can get reference samples on the market, time to time, but this is a showcase-quality miniature.
