Item Description

Stokesite is a rare hydrated calcium, tin silicate usually found in pegmatites. The Stokesite is in large rosette balls 1.4 cm across, and you almost never see a doublet like this. The quality and definition of the clusters is excellent. There are also several rare, mm-size, brown Microlite crystals scattered about. I recall when these Stokesites came out, that they were hard to obtain. This is an outstanding example of the species, with the spheres is nicely formed. It is aesthetic and pristine. ex Proctor collection
