Stilbite with Laumontite

Item Description

A cool old time specimen from Cape Blomidon featuring bladed beige colored groups of Stilbite measuring up to 1.0 cm which are associated with minor white "needles" of Laumontite in a vug of basalt. The central crystals are undamaged, but the crystals along the periphery are obviously contacted where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. This piece came to us with only the label attached on the front (the piece is also glued to a styrofoam base), but there was no provenance given.
