Stilbite with Heulandite on Quartz

Many of the minerals (mostly zeolites) found in the Deccan Trap are the finest crystallized representations of their respective species ever found. This piece is a great example of said material featuring several fine quality groups of Stilbite (specifically Stilbite-Ca) of a pale golden-cream color comprising individual bladed crystals that have formed "half-bowtie" shaped groups measuring up to 1.6 cm associated with a pearly crystal group of nearly colorless Heulandite on drusy Quartz on nearly black basalt matrix. The piece is very showy and three dimensional, and I love how the Stilbites are free-standing and flaring aesthetically out of the Quartz. A very attractive specimen of this classic material.
