The basalt quarries of Jalgaon continually produce outstanding zeolite specimens and this is an superlative and sculptural 360-degree stilbite combination from recent finds. Gorgeous, pearlescent, rich salmon-pink stilbite crystals are dramatically set on the drusy chalcedony stalactites, that host an earlier generation of smaller, colorless, gemmy stilbite blades. Two stilbites are bowties, with the largest being 5.4 cm. Complete all-around and pristine, the piece looks fabulous from either side and I really like the way the piece rests on the thin basalt matrix crust. Fairly valued at $800-1000.
