Item Description

From the great find in late 2007. Chabazite is typically white or off-white in color, but to find rich color crystals like this is very significant. The pseudo-rhombohedral (they're actually triclinic) crystals on this specimen are a rich salmon color with very sharp faces, excellent luster and are aesthetically intergrown to form what is an overall beautiful display piece. The largest "rhomb" measures 1.2 cm on edge. To top it off, the piece is topped by a lovely golden crystal aggregate of Stilbite. I cannot say for certain which species of Chabazite this may be, but my best assumption would be Chabazite-Ca. For the quality, color and great visual appeal, this is a top notch small miniature cabinet display specimen of this Zeolite species that often occurs in typically less than colorful crystals.
