Stilbite (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

An very unusual group of lustrous yellow Stilbite which have formed into complete spheres measuring up to 8 mm across. The label accompanying the piece says it's from Washington state with no further information. I honestly don't think I've seen Stilbite quite like this from Washington, and I'm not 100% convinced that the locality is accurate. With that said, if anybody out there has some additional information as to where this piece might be from, please let us know. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#5063). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
