Stilbite (classic material) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A classic old specimen of the famous Stilbites from the Berufjord in Iceland. Sharp, white, lustrous / pearlescent "sheaves" of Stilbite in a semi "bow tie"-shaped group with very minor matrix. Great quality all around, and very good sized for the material. Only a tiny bit of damage, but the piece is in superb shape overall. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#7712). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
