Item Description

More than a dozen bright, yellow-orange balls of Stilbite beautifully accent a medium gray piece of trap rock matrix on this piece from Fairfax, Virginia. This the same locality that produced, arguably, the best US Apophyllite crystals and it is little known that locality produced some nice Stilbite! The sparkling Stilbite spherules are from 3 mm to nearly 1 cm across. They are composed of tight, radiating sprays of slender prismatic crystals whose terminations cover the top of the spheres and result in their glistening appearance. A lovey US Zeolite piece! Ex.
