Dense intergrown bundles of moderately translucent, matte-finish, orange stilbite blades form a sculptural and rich rolling specimen from this well-known old trap rock quarry. Known for prehnite, the quarry also also produced excellent stilbites, such as this piece. The showy piece has two fine display views and the noted periphery wear is certainly only a modest detraction to this fine old-timer from an East Coast collection. Classic Connecticut stilbite.
