Item Description

Showy and rich stilbite on calcite from this well-known old Connecticut Traprock quarry. Lustrous, translucent, flax-yellow stilbite crystals are richly and dramatically clustered on the top and along one side of the mounded 3-sided basalt matrix covered with glassy calcite rhombs. Stilbite specimens are RARE from here compared to other Zeolite Group species present at this locale. From an East Coast collection. Undoubtedly older material, but no proof. Very choice, rich and RARE combination material from here. A MUST for the species or locality collector.
