Item Description

A fine, large combination plate from the famous Traprock basalt quarries at Paterson. The sculptural vugs hosts numerous bowties of lustrous, translucent, brown stilbite crystals on a bed of glassy calcite crystals. Pastel-green prehnite flanks the vug on both sides. Classic, excellent and showy large combination material from the Richard Hauck Collection.
