A gorgeous showy large cabinet display specimen from Jalgaon featuring several excellent quality, lustrous, creamy peach colored "bow tie"-shaped aggregates of Stilbite-(Ca) measuring up to 4.4 cm across sitting on a layer of soft white Mordenite on a thin layer of basalt matrix. The piece presents beautifully as you can see from the photos. No damage of note that I can see with the naked eye. Bow tie Stilbites are among the most eye-catching zeolites from India, and when you have such large and displayable pieces like this, they're second to none around the world in terms of size and quality. Indian Zeolites (and associated species) may still be fairly common on the market, but you cannot deny the fact that they are colorful, attractive, highly displayable and several of them are the finest examples of their respective species extant !
