Stilbite-(Ca) (''bow tie'') with Fluorapophyllite-(K)

Item Description

Here we have a beautiful and aesthetic an association specimen of this classic material from India featuring a rather lustrous, ''bow tie''-shaped group of very soft beige (nearly pure white) colored crystals of Stilbite-(Ca) associated with a few very sharp, lustrous, thick/blocky beautiful colorless Fluorapophyllite-(K) crystals, on minor Chalcedony matrix. The Stilbite "bow tie" measures 6.5 cm long, and the largest Apophyllite measures 2.6 cm on edge. The piece is in great shape overall. The displayability is wonderful as you can see from the video, and the piece sits beautifully on its own without the aid of a base or clay. Indian Zeolites (and associated species - Apophyllite is not a Zeolite) may still be fairly common on the market, but you cannot deny the fact that they are colorful, attractive, highly displayable and several of them are the finest examples of their respective species extant !
