Stilbite bowtie with Fluorapophyllite

Here is a textbook style, handsome combination specimen from the basalt trap rock quarries of India featuring a large Stilbite bowtie nestled on a Fluorapophyllite crystal cluster. While common in general, this is really a special piece that is more beautiful and sparkly than most with great balance and aesthetics. The Stilbite bowtie is stout and measures a full three inches from end to end and nearly two inches across. There are several smaller Stilbite crystals in close proximity to enhance the overall composition of the piece. The Stilbite is a pink-peach and has good luster. The Fluorapophyllite is glassy, transparent to translucent and composed of several well-terminated, prismatic crystals with the largest measuring two in length and all of the crystals display a glassy luster. Excellent composition and nearly pristine! This is exceptional, a very fine example that is much better than most similar pieces of this material, for aesthetics and condition. Valued $1500.
