Stilbite

Item Description

A very sculptural and impressive large matrix stilbite specimen from recent finds at Jalgaon. The dramatic piece looks like a dragon with a curved neck, pointed ears and a snout! The artistically, densely intergrown, pearlescent, translucent stilbites have beautiful salmon-pink color and are attached to chalcedony stalactites and a bit of complimentary matrix. The two pristine bowties at the base are 5.9 and 5.6 cm long. A fantastic, nearly pristine, 360-degree specimen with only a small attachment bruise at the tip of the "snout" and an out-of-sight attachment at the back of the "neck".
