Stilbite

Item Description

This is an excellent Stilbite specimen from the basalt trap rock quarries of India. It features one large Stilbite bow-tie and a few other sidecar Stilbites that give the piece great aesthetics. The Stilbites are pale peach in color and display great luster with multiple, sub-parallel terminations for added texture. The large bow-tie measures 9.5 cm in length and 5 cm across at the widest point at the ends. Although totally common as a species, this piece has great composition and textbook bow-tie form with very good quality.
