A RARE and aesthetic diverging spray of stout, classic, striated, metallic lustre, terminated and contacted stibnite prisms from this historic, extinct locale. Mining started at this As-Sb-(Au-Tl) deposit in the Middle Ages and continued until 1913. The tan crusts are probably Stibiconite, a RARE accessory. Previously in the Ernest Holloway Collection. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 11854 and acquired from the Cisneros's at Tucson in 1989. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). A rare, old and exceptional 360-degree stibnite from this ancient locale. See the locality article in The Mineralogical Record 1993 issue, Vol. 24, No. 6, pp. 437-449.
