Stibnite with Dolomite

Here we have a dramatic and showy display specimen of these beautiful, fine quality Stibnites from the Xikuangshan Sb deposit featuring a multitude of prismatic, striated, highly lustrous, metallic, silvery colored crystals, which are partially coated by light beige colored Dolomite. The largest Stibnite measures 8.1 cm long. A few of the crystals show a slightly "bent" habit, which is not unheard of for Stibnite, but it's one of the few minerals that forms crystals with this particular style of growth. It's a wonderful three-dimensional piece but please note there are some contacted crystals here and there. These pieces were mined over a decade ago, and nothing has come out since, so if you missed out on them when they were fresh out of the ground, don't miss out on a chance to get a good quality example from this premier Stibnite locality.
