A very fine, showy and aesthetic stibnite and calcite combination specimen from Baia Mare and the Robert Whitmore Collection. A curved, fan-like spray of multiple, metallic-bright, bladed stibnite clusters of various sizes is beautifully framed around the edges by calcite crystal-covered stibnite blades. The back of the piece is entirely covered by sparkling, light brown, calcite rhombs. This is an old classic combination piece and is way above average for the style and locale. Probably from the 1980s or previous, and not available today, except in recycled collections. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection.
