An aesthetic, imposing plate of bladed, iridescent metallic Stibnites from THE CLASSIC european locale for stibnite - and some of them, such as this one with a classic and unique style compared to stibnite from other places, still hold their own against plentiful Chinese material!. The luster is very good, and you can see occasional flashes of blue and gold as the piece is turned in the light. The blades average over 1 cm tall, the longest being about 1.5 cm, with varying widths. These Romanian Stibnites are classic, old European material, not to be compared on the same level to the far more common Chinese stuff available today! Aesthetic and quite substantial, considering it is rich and a full cabinet-size specimen. Ex Herb Obodda personal collection,and this was valued $2500-3500.
